“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” ~ 2 Corinthians 9:7 (ESV)
Stewardship is not a passive idea—it is an active calling. Every resource entrusted to us—land, talent, capital, relationships—is a gift with purpose. The challenge is not merely to possess these assets, but to deploy them with wisdom, courage, and intentional generosity. When stewardship is approached with vision, it multiplies impact far beyond the original gift. It transforms property into opportunity, business into ministry, and investment into legacy. The strategies outlined below are not simply financial mechanisms; they represent a disciplined commitment to honor what has been entrusted by putting it to work in ways that serve others, build community, and endure for generations. This is the difference between ownership and stewardship: ownership holds tightly, while stewardship builds, expands, and gives. With that foundation, the Company is taking bold, creative approaches to several organic funding strategies:
Acquisition of Land (500–1,500 Acres)
The size of Legacy Ranch will range between 500 and 1,500 acres, depending on factors such as availability under Texas’s Title Holding Land Trust or Conservation Easement statutes, terrain, location, cost, and utility availability. This flexible acquisition approach allows the Company to maximize value and utility, ensuring the land is suitable for diverse activities and goals. By utilizing the tax benefits of these statutes, land acquisition becomes more affordable and sustainable for long-term conservation and development. Alternatively, once acquired, the land will be placed in a Title Holding Land Trust or a Conservation Easement and managed by a separate Non-Profit entity created by the Company. By leveraging tax benefits associated with these legal structures, the Company can significantly reduce acquisition costs while maintaining full control over land usage.
Wildlife Management and Corporate Hunts
The ranch’s natural resources will be managed to support wildlife conservation while also providing corporate hunting opportunities. Guided by expert staff, corporate hunts will generate additional revenue and promote wildlife management efforts. These activities will be aligned with ethical conservation practices and foster relationships with corporate sponsors.
Commercial and Lifestyle Businesses
The ranch will host a variety of revenue-generating businesses, including rental cottages, condo-style apartments, Western artisan shops, and services such as sports and trail horse training and sales. Legacy Ranch will include a podcast recording facility, a destination restaurant, and a southwestern cowboy cooking school. These businesses will attract tourists and locals, creating a vibrant community hub.
Fundraising Campaigns and Legacy Donations
Fundraising efforts will include targeted campaigns for private and corporate donors, legacy donations, and local businesses. Additionally, Legacy Ranch will seek grants from charitable organizations that support faith-based and community-driven initiatives. Events like galas, auctions, and sponsorship drives will raise funds and enhance the ranch’s visibility.
